Religion and ethics

At Sackville Street Public School, Special Religious Education (SRE) is delivered on Tuesday's from 1.55pm-2.25pm for K-2 students and from 2.30pm-3.00pm for Years 3-6 students. 

On enrolment parents/carers are given the SRE participation letter to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to the office, in writing.

Catholic SRE is provided by the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong. SEE is provided in some schools by Primary Ethics. We do not currently hold SEE at Sackville Street Public School. For more information about SEE, including the authorised curriculum scope and sequence, please visit the Primary Ethics website https://primaryethics.com.au 

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in meaningful activities such as quiet reading, drawing or quiet activities with their peers.
